The film stars Hugh Jackman (Logan), Michelle Williams (Manchester by the Sea), Zac Efron (High School Musical), Zendaya (Spider-Man: Homecoming) and Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation).  "An original musical that celebrates the birth of show business and tells of a visionary who rose from nothing to create a spectacle that became a worldwide sensation". Trailers have pointed towards an uplifting, magical and empowering musical but in reality, P.T Barnum was not the greatest man...

"Pitch Perfect 3" is directed by Trish Sie (Step Up All In) and stars Anna Kendrick (Trolls), Rebel Wilson (How to be Single), Hailee Steinfeld (The Edge of Seventeen) among many others. 'Following their win at the world championship, the now separated Bellas reunite for one last singing competition at an overseas USO tour, but face a group who uses both instruments and voices'. "Pitch Perfect 2" was a massive financial success and this third instalment is set to be the Bellas last. Can "Pitch Perfect 3" satisfy the dedicated fanbase and end this trilogy on a high?

"Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" is directed by Jake Kasdan (Bad Teacher) and written by Chris McKenna (Spider-Man: Homecoming), Erik Sommers (The LEGO Batman Movie), Scott Rosenberg (Beautiful Girls) and Jeff Pinkner (Fringe). The film stars Dwayne Johnson (San Andreas), Kevin Hart (Ride Along), Jack Black (School of Rock), Karen Gillan (Doctor Who) and pop star Nick Jonas. "Four teenagers discover an old video game console and are literally drawn into the game's jungle setting becoming the adult avatars they chose". "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" is the next film to capitalise on Hollywood's remake/nostalgia craze. Will it detriment the legacy of the first film (including one of the late Robin Williams' most famous roles)? Or have Dwayne Johnson & company reinterpreted this property in a fun and exciting way?

The Empire Strikes Back...Again?

"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" is directed and written by Rian Johnson (Looper) and stars Daisy Ridley (Murder on the Orient Express), Adam Driver (Paterson), Mark Hamill (Star Wars), John Boyega (Attack the Block), Oscar Isaac (Ex Machina), Andy Serkis (Rise of the Planet of the Apes) and the late Carrie Fisher (Star Wars). "Having taken her first steps into the Jedi world, Rey joins Luke Skywalker on an adventure with Leia, Finn and Poe that unlocks mysteries of the Force and secrets of the past". After "The Force Awakens" received backlash for following the same formula and structure of "A New Hope", it is key that "The Last Jedi" adds a level of creativity to the modern Star Wars universe; Is indie director Rian Johnson the answer to take the new trilogy in a truly new direction?

"Battle of the Sexes" is directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris (Little Miss Sunshine, Ruby Sparks) and written by Simon Beaufoy (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire). The film stars Emma Stone (La La Land), Steve Carell (Foxcatcher), Andrea Riseborough (Birdman) and Sarah Silverman (Wreck-It Ralph). "The true story of the 1973 tennis match between World number one Billie Jean King and ex-champ and serial hustler Bobby Riggs". Will Emma Stone's recent Oscar win give this film an advantage or will it fall flat?

If you can't beat the house, be...The House.

"The House" is the directorial debut from Andrew Jay Cohen. Cohen is familiar with the comedy genre though, co-writing "Bad Neighbours", "Bad Neighbours 2", "Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates" as well as this film alongside Brendan O'Brien. The film stars Will Ferrell (Elf, Anchorman), Amy Poehler (Parks and Recreation, Sisters), Jason Mantzoukas (The League) and a cameo from Jeremy Renner (Avengers, Arrival). "After the town takes away their daughter's college scholarship, a couple start an illegal casino in their friend's house to make back the money". The talent, both in front of and behind the camera, are comedy veterans. "The House" is set up to succeed...right?
