 Avengers: Infinity War is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo (Captain America: Civil War). 10 years and 18 films ago, Marvel kickstarted its cinematic universe. Avengers: Infinity War is supposedly the beginning of the end. MCU veterans Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) have been tasked with writing the screenplay. "The Avengers and their allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe". Among others, the cast includes Robert Downey Jr. (Sherlock Holmes), Chris Hemsworth (Snow White and the Huntsman), Chris Evans (Gifted), Chris Pratt (Jurassic World), Scarlett Johansson (Lucy), Tom Holland (The Impossible) and Josh Brolin (Sicario). Fans have been waiting a decade for this film; will Avengers: Infinity War meet lofty expectations?

Big Meets Bigger

Rampage is directed by Brad Peyton (San Andreas) and written by Ryan Engle (The Commuter), Carlton Cuse (Lost), Ryan J. Condal (Hercules) and Adam Sztykiel (Due Date). The film stars Dwayne Johnson (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle), Naomie Harris (Moonlight), Malin Akerman (Billions), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Walking Dead), Jake Lacy (The Office) and Joe Manganiello (Magic Mike XXL). "When three different animals become infected with a dangerous pathogen, a primatologist and a geneticist team up to stop them from destroying Chicago". Johnson teams up with Peyton once again; San Andreas was a dumb (but fun) popcorn flick, can Rampage at least be the same?

Truth or Dare is directed by Jeff Wadlow (Kick-Ass 2) and is co-written by Jillian Jacobs, Michael Reisz (Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments) and Christopher Roach (Non-Stop), as well as Wadlow. The film stars Lucy Hale (Pretty Little Liars), Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf), Violett Beane (The Flash), Sophie Ali (Grey's Anatomy), Nolan Gerard Funk (Counterpart), Hayden Szeto (The Good Place) and Sam Lerner (The Goldbergs). "A harmless game of Truth or Dare among friends turns deadly when someone -- or something -- begins to punish those who tell a lie or refuse the dare". Blumhouse has been producing hit after hit; will Truth or Dare continue their winning streak?

 Love, Simon is directed by Greg Berlanti (Life as We Know It) and is based on the book "Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda" by Becky Albertalli. It has been adapted to screen by Elizabeth Berger and Isaac Aptaker (This Is Us). The cast includes Nick Robinson (Jurassic World), Katherine Langford (13 Reasons Why), Jennifer Garner (13 Going on 30), Josh Duhamel (Transformers) and Alexandra Shipp (X-Men: Apocalypse). "Simon Spier keeps a huge secret from his family, his friends, and all of his classmates: he's gay. When that secret is threatened, Simon must face everyone and come to terms with his identity". From the perspective of someone who loved the book, how does the film adaptation of Love, Simon compare?

Ready Player One is directed by Steven Spielberg (Jurassic Park). It is based on the best-selling book written by Ernest Cline (Fanboys) and has been adapted to screen by Cline and Zak Penn (Avengers Assemble). The film stars Tye Sheridan (X-Men: Apocalypse), Olivia Cooke (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl), Ben Mendelsohn (Rogue One), T.J. Miller (Deadpool), Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead) and Mark Rylance (Bridge of Spies). "When the creator of a virtual reality world called the OASIS dies, he releases a video in which he challenges all OASIS users to find his Easter Egg, which will give the finder his fortune". Intended to be a valentine to pop culture; will the countless references get in the way of a coherent plot?

 Directed and written by John Krasinski (The Hollars), A Quiet Place is about "a family [who are] forced to live in silence while hiding from creatures that hunt by sound". The film stars Krasinski (The Office), his real-life wife Emily Blunt (Sicario), Noah Jupe (Wonder) and Millicent Simmonds (Wonderstruck). Bryan Woods and Scott Beck (The Bride Wore Blood) also leant their hands on the script. A Quiet Place has received unanimously high praise since it debuted at SXSW; is it a modern horror classic? or dull and overhyped?
