Finally opening in the UK, Inside Out opened higher than Frozen, Brave, Big Hero 6 & Monsters University - Pixar are truly back...with a bang! Also opening within the top 5 was Southpaw which surprised and debuted at number 4.
Further down the chart, there were no other new entries but Empire Strikes Back returned to the top 10.
Ant-Man managed to defeat Minions this week even though the Marvel opening was a little light. A concert by Andre Rieu also opened in the top 5 at number 5 with $1.7 million.
Also opening in the top 10 was Bajrangi Bhaijaan (#7/$1.2 million) and The Gallows (#9/$500K).
Last weeks winner Minions topped the box office for a second week in a row. Also opening in the top 5 was Terminator: Genisys ($5.9 million/2nd), Magic Mike XXL ($2.4 million/4th) & Amy ($800K/5th).
Also opening in the top 10 was the National Opera which entered at number 8.

Jurassic World - 'Jurassic World is a truly satisfying entry into the franchise - it is the first sequel to the original to actually be good. But the thing is, this isn't just good, it is AMAZING! The dinosaurs are terrifying but visually stunning and the actors are excellent. Jurassic World's story is really well done and the end battle is one I am going to remember for a long time. Forget being the best film of 2015 (which is currently is), Jurassic World may just be one of my favourite movies of all time! Entertainment at its best. '
A new film claimed the box office crown this weekend - Minions took in just over $18 million. No other films opened within the top 5. Other openers from places 6-10 this week include Knock Knock which opened in 7th place and Slow West which opened in 10th.
So we are about half way through 2015 so it makes sense to give you all an insight to what films have been my favourites of the year so far. I actually believe that I haven't seen too many terrible movies so far this year which makes my bottom ten list a little more competitive than my top ten! This post will focus on my 10 favourites from the year so far - please note that these are films that were released in 2015 in the UK so may have been released earlier in the US.
